Over the years, the MCU has gained a legendary reputation for secrecy with even the stars of the universe often being kept in the dark as to the whole story. This can be stressful, especially when you are being asked to divulge a films secrets on a constant basis, as the case for this weeks(!!!) Avengers: Endgame. Well, Paul Rudd has seemingly had enough of the secrecy and attempted to extract spoilers from the Russo Brothers. Take a look:

It was a valiant effort and he gets points for trying, but maybe Paul Rudd should have taken more cat burglar lessons from his character and placed that cellphone in a less conspicuous location, because he failed spectacularly here. He starts off strong though, switching from secrecy and frustration to charming and affable Paul Rudd as soon as the Russo Brothers come in.

Paul Rudd apparently got the script for Avengers: Endgame, but not the ending, which the Russos let him know was for his own safety. This is where we get the first of two digs at notorious spoiler Mark Ruffalo, who they say got a fake script to prevent further cringe-inducing slips of the tongue. Poor guy, you screw up one, two you screw up a few times and suddenly nobody trusts you and youre the butt of everyones jokes.

In the Twitter video, Paul Rudd comes super close to getting the goods from Anthony Russo, who is about to reveal who dies in Endgame when Joe Russo discovers that they were wrong to trust the Ant-Man actor. Ominously, Anthony Russo says, Here is the list of people who die before getting ready to count them off on his fingers. That he needs a numbered list would be quite devastating if this jokey video turns out to be prophetic.

After being caught, Paul Rudd hilariously tries to save face after this calamitous failure by scapegoating Mark Ruffalo, which all things considered, isnt the worst strategy in the world. Maybe Tom Holland will help carry some of that shame load, and by Phase 6, Mark Ruffalo can be trusted again.

Although Paul Rudd ultimately failed to get the goods from Joe and Anthony Russo here, unfortunately there are spoilers for Avengers: Endgame that have leaked. Even with the incredible efforts to prevent such a thing from happening, there are no guarantees. So stay frosty on the interwebs and beware of spoilers if you want the purest experience possible and not some trash cellphone video.

How Avengers 4 Fits With Avengers: Infinity War, According To The Writers

Needless to say, there will be spoilers in this article, so stop reading now if you want to go into Avengers: Infinity War knowing nothing.

Because next year's Avengers 4 remains such a mystery, there are huge questions tied to Avengers: Infinity War that we can not wait to have answered. Which heroes will still be alive to defend our precious planet? Is Thanos' arc still going to be a factor? And is it possible that Avengers: Infinity War ends on a massive cliffhanger, asking audiences to come back the following summer to see how it's resolved? When we visited the set of Joe and Anthony Russo's Avengers: Infinity War, we asked longtime Marvel screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely how they viewed the two movies, and whether they thought of them as one massive story, or two separate tales. They replied:

Christopher Markus: Both.Stephen McFeely: Can't have the second one without the first one. But our hope is that it's breakfast, and then lunch.Markus: It does not feel like you hit pause, and then unpaused it. It is two very different [movies].

At the time that we visited the Avengers: Infinity War set, both movies were being shot at the same time, so there was a fair amount of hedging from the screenwriters about what they could reveal, and what might be being saved for next summer's Avengers 4. After listening to them hash out the distinction between the movies, I'm more confident that somewhere in the process of filming Infinity War, the screenwriters and their co-directors -- who all collaborated on Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Captain America: Civil War -- found a natural stopping point, and that Avengers 4 was shaped to be a pure follow up to whatever happens at the conclusion of Infinity War.

The one wrinkle in that plan happens to be the two movies that happen between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4. However, since visiting the set of Joe and Anthony Russo's blockbuster, we have learned that both Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel will be stories set in different eras of the MCU, so continuity can be preserved from when Infinity War ends and Avengers 4 picks back up in May 2019.

Now, if only we knew that Avengers 4 title.

Avengers: Infinity War will find the major heroes of the MCU teaming up to defeat Thanos (Josh Brolin), a mad despot hellbent on acquiring all of the Infinity Stones and bringing balance to the universe... by eliminating half of the galaxy. Chris Evans' Marvel Characters Combine In Epic Image

Given how totally and completely Chris Evans has become Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe over the near decade he has played him, it would be easy to forget that Steve Rogers is not the actors first superhero role. That was as Johnny Storm in Foxs Fantastic Four films. With those films, 21st Century Fox and the Fantastic Four now all under the Disney banner, some new fan art has combined Chris Evans two superhero roles into one epic image.

As if Captain America didnt look badass enough already, setting him ablaze certainly does the trick. Johnny Rogers or Steve Storm (yeah, definitely that one, alliteration is a hallmark of superhero naming convention) has all the steely resolve of Cap and all the fiery intensity of the Human Torch.

Cap is already pretty darn formidable in his own right, but you give him the fire manipulation and flight powers of the Human Torch and the Avengers odds of victory increase several fold. This image from BossLogic is especially cool because it isnt just imagining what an actor would look like as a character, its combining two Chris Evans has already played.

Chris Evans has played both Captain America and the Human Torch and with the multiverses of comic book movies colliding in the Disney-Fox deal, this amalgamation seems appropriate to commemorate the occasion. Now we just need Josh Brolin as Nathan Thanos Summers and Michael B. Jordans Killmonger shrouded in fire yelling Flame on!

This image is also fun because it reminds you of the very different types of superheroes Chris Evans has played. As Johnny Storm in Fantastic Four, he was the wild and cocky jokester who didnt take anything seriously. And as Captain America, he is the beating heart of the MCU, a serious and selfless hero. It just goes to show Chris Evans talents.

How much longer Chris Evans will be using those talents in the MCU is an open question. Pretty much since Captain America: Civil War weve been speculating that Captain America will bite the dust in tragically heroic fashion, and that question will be at its loudest right before Avengers: Endgame, especially given that the trailer showed a worse for wear Steve Rogers gritting his teeth in what looks to be a brutal battle.

Of course, if Avengers: Endgame is Chris Evans last appearance as Captain America, that would open him up to reprise the role of Johnny Storm when the Fantastic Four come to the MCU. Hey, it could happen! As far as what the future holds for The Human Torch and the rest of the Fantastic Four in the MCU, it is too soon to say.

The Disney purchase of 21st Century Fox just went through last week and its presumed that the X-Men couldnt make their way to the MCU until 2021 at the earliest, so it would stand to reason that the same would apply to the Fantastic Four.
